Harvest Moon DS Cute is the female-oriented version of the original Harvest Moon DS. Released in North America on March 25, 2008, it introduces a female protagonist and several gameplay refinements to the Forget-Me-Not-Valley setting. 

Key Gameplay Features

• Protagonist Options: Players can choose to play as either Pony (from Another Wonderful Life) or Claire (from More Friends of Mineral Town).
• Main Objective: Rescue the 101 Harvest Sprites and the Harvest Goddess, who have been banished to another world by the Harvest King and Witch Princess.
• Farming & Husbandry: Manage a farm by planting a variety of crops and trees, and raising livestock like cows, sheep, chickens, and ducks.
• Bachelors & Romance: Court and marry one of several eligible bachelors, including the new character Skye, a mysterious thief.
• Customization: Unlike the original, you can change your character's outfit colors and decorate your farmhouse with different wallpaper and carpets. 

Notable Differences from the Original

• Bug Fixes: DS: Cute significantly addresses the game-breaking glitches and bugs that plagued the early North American releases of the original Harvest Moon DS.
• New Content: Includes additional random events, the ability to have either a son or daughter, and updated daily clothing for marriage candidates.
• Mineral Town Connection: If you insert a copy of Friends of Mineral Town or More Friends of Mineral Town into the DS GBA slot, you can unlock visits from Mineral Town bachelors once a week.
• Best Friend System: In the original Japanese version, players could choose a female "best friend" instead of a husband; however, this feature was removed from North American and European releases.
