Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town is a farming simulation role-playing game for the Game Boy Advance (GBA), released in North America in July 2005. It is the female-oriented version of the 2003 hit Friends of Mineral Town. 

Plot & Setting

The story follows a young woman (often named Clair) who is tired of her "rat race" life in the city. After seeing a newspaper advertisement for a beautiful country farm, she quits her job and moves to Mineral Town, only to find the farm was falsely advertised and is actually in a state of long-neglected ruin. Despite the trickery, she decides to roll up her sleeves and restore the farm to its former glory. 

Core Gameplay Features

The game centers on a daily routine of farm management and social interaction. 

• Farming & Ranching: Players must clear land of rocks and weeds to plant and harvest various seasonal crops. You can also raise livestock, including chickens for eggs, cows for milk, and sheep for wool.
• Social & Marriage: Building relationships with the townspeople is critical. Unlike the original version, players can woo and marry one of eight eligible bachelors. These include five regular town candidates (Cliff, Doctor, Gray, Kai, and Rick) and three secret bachelors (Won, Gourmet, and Kappa).
• Mineral Town Exploration: Beyond the farm, players can fish in the river or ocean, mine for ores to upgrade tools, and participate in various town festivals.
• Connectivity: The GBA game can connect to the GameCube title Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life via a link cable to unlock special events and characters. 

Key Improvements Over the Original

While the base game is largely identical to the "boy version," More Friends of Mineral Town includes several fixes and additions: 

• Farming Degree System: A new point system tracks your progress across categories like shipping, fishing, and social events.
• Expanded Social Events: Includes new villager events not found in the original game.
• Economy Tweaks: Players can sell items directly to the traveling salesman, Won, providing a way to make money from non-shippable items.
• Polished Localization: The English script received significant cleanup compared to the original release.
